Biography

Almar Klein received his master in electrical engineering from the University of Twente in December 2006. He did his internship at Philips Applied Technologies, doing research on the SIFT algorithm. During his master thesis he worked on (elastic) image registration of photo's of diabetic feet. From Januari 2007, he is a PhD student at the Signals and Systems group, researching the movement of stents in the abdominal aorta. Further, Almar is the author of two open source Python projects (iep and visvis). From december 2011, he is working on Pyzo, an interactive computing environment aimed at science and building professional applications, that is easy to obtain, easy to use, and free.
